The Associated Businesses of the Cultural District
is a not for profit business association, dedicated to the improvement of the Cultural District and the economic health of the associated members. Founded in 1991, the membership ranges from individuals with an interest in the area, to major corporations and cultural institutions.
ABCD was instrumental in the formation of the NEZ's (Neighborhood Empowerment Zone) and Urban Villages in this district. We have consistently advocated free parking at the Will Rogers Memorial Center. We encouraged the City to repaint the Lancaster Street Bridge. ABCD has also supported the introduction of light rail into the area. We meet monthly, usually on the third Tuesday, 5:30 - 7:00.
